A Birdseye View of Los Angeles, C. 1890

The original sepia tone lithograph was taken from photos, with a little "artist license," in the interpretation. It now becomes a beautiful detailed digital art rendering. It is printed in a warm duotone color in keeping with the originals. Some of street names are shown that were etched on the original. Shows an electric railroad, orange groves and even a covered bridge. Not a very big city. One could have bought a city block for a couple grand back then.
